Events To Look Out for in the New Year

Posted on: February 5, 2026

The start of the year is always a little quieter at Old Hall Caravan Park, as we close from January through to early March for essential maintenance and groundskeeping. This annual break allows us to take care of important improvements, ensuring that when you return, the park is ready for a welcoming stay, with everything in top condition.

From March onwards, the surrounding towns and countryside come alive with film nights, live performances, exhibitions, and seasonal festivals. For guests returning after the winter closure, it’s the perfect time to plan a visit that combines the comfort of your own static caravan with a range of cultural and community events nearby.

Set in Capernwray, just outside Carnforth, Old Hall is ideally located for exploring Lancashire, Morecambe Bay and the edge of the Lake District. Its central location makes it a great base for multi-day visits, allowing you to enjoy local attractions and events without long journeys or the need to book hotels.

Here’s a look at some events happening from March onwards, with links to official listings so you can plan your visit.
