Outside the purchase of the caravan, what are the ongoing costs?
This depends on the caravan park since each one is different in terms of what they offer, so it’s important that you know this before committing to a purchase.
At Old Hall Caravan Park, our holiday home tariffs include:
- Pitch fee – £2,745 (from 1st March 2022 to 10th January 2023)
- Electricity – this is metered (plus there’s a £39.61 safety inspection and metering charge)
- Piped gas – also metered (and there’s a £21 meter charge as well)
Is the caravan park open year-round?
Again, each holiday park will be different, so make sure you have the answer to this question before buying a holiday home. Our caravan park opens from 1st March to 10th January every year, and we’re also strictly non-residential.
Is the caravan park child/pet friendly?
You’ll be happy to know that, yes, well-behaved dogs are permitted on lead in the park and off-lead on the woodland walks. This means you can bring your furry companions on holiday without a hassle, as we understand you wouldn’t want to leave them behind!
Do I need insurance for my static caravan?

Can I rent or sublet my static caravan?
While you’re free to invite your friends and family to stay with you on our grounds whenever you want, we do not allow subletting at Old Hall Caravan Park.
What kind of facilities does the caravan park have?
We have plenty of amenities available for all our static caravan owners, which will make your holidays even more special.
Staying in and enjoying the wonderful sights by the fireplace is always an option, of course, but you’ll also benefit from incredible woodland walks in nature, which are sure to help you relax even more.
In addition, you also get Wi-Fi, a laundrette facility, an information room, a shower block and kitchen for the touring caravans, and more!
How do I pay for gas and electricity for my caravan?
As mentioned above, both gas and electricity are metered and invoiced throughout the year. Please don’t hesitate to speak to us if you’d like to know more about utility bills and how to pay them. We’re on hand to help with everything you need.
Is there internet access on-site and in my caravan?
Yes. We include Wi-Fi in the pitch fees, so you have access to the internet no matter where you are in the park. You’ll find it easy to take pictures and send them to the family with just a few clicks and search the web for the best restaurants and pubs in the area.

Will I get a designated parking space?
We provide one designated parking space per caravan, and any additional vehicles can park in the visitor area.
What is park security like?
At Old Hall Caravan Park, we make sure all our guests and holiday homeowners feel safe at all times! We have a one-entrance drive protected by a barrier outside of office hours, with a further barrier at reception. In addition, each static caravan owner has a fob that grants them access and keeps anyone else out.
On top of this, there are also CCTV cameras at the entrance and a warden living on-site so you always have someone to talk to (and solve issues at any time) if necessary.
Emergency services have 24/7 access to the site if required, and the phone is manned even out-of-hours, which means you’ll get help in case of emergency as soon as you need it.
